The Government Shutdown
It got me good
On October 1st our government here in America shut down and for October it wasn't bad. I had pleanty of foodstamps that got me through the month and my girlfriend and I were easily able to take care of the kids without a hassel. I got a letter in the mail saying my food stamps were auto renewing and I might even be getting more.
Then came November. I was doing alright, but then midway through the food started running low and I then something really bad happened...
THE BREAK-UP
Then the kept tumbling down
We made it about three months doing really good then all of a sudden she had to move back to Tuscola. She said it was for her son which is understandable,but then she announced her ex was part of the reason and she wanted to work things out with him because he was single again. Karma happened ig because it didn't work that way. Now she's saying she loves and misses me, but we can't be together because of the distance. It's frustrating and it really pisses me off because I'm used to being hurt, but my kids got close to her and got attached so when decided to take off while they were in school, it really hurt them and that's unforgivable. Though I do really miss her..
Another big thing that sucks about her taking off is it's made my work life more difficult to where I had to have my hours cut due to lack of sitters and it fucked me out of taking my CDL course this month. I've always felt like a place holder or someone to help people feel better till they find something better. Ever since my wife and I split in 2023 I've just felt undesirable...
Hoping For A Better Tomorrow

On November 20th the Government reopened and that's when I learned my stuff was cancelled. I filled out the paperwork and then a week passed and I heard nothing. Finally came back into the office and now they are saying I need a thing confirming how much I pay in rent so now I gotta get a letter from my landlord or a copy of my lease which apparently grew legs and walked away.
November was stressful, but hopefully since it's a new month things will work out. I still get to host Karaoke every saturday and I still get to work and that's all I care about because I can pay my bills and take care of my kids. Funny enough since the break-up, the kids mom and I aren't constantly fighting everytime we talk. Probably just a coincidence.
